The 7th Annual Stone Soul Picnic is the largest Juneteenth Celebration in the DFW Metroplex! This monolithic event is a one day festival that celebrates the pride, history and culture of the African American family. KSOC-KSoul 94.5’s Seventh Annual Stone Soul Picnic along with Dodge Chrysler Jeep, State Farm, and BETJ will be Saturday June 14, 2008 at the Fair Park Fairgrounds on
1300 Robert B. Cullum Blvd, Dallas, Texasfrom 10:00 AM to 7:00PM. The Hemi powered driving force of this combustible event is Barry Ward of Dodge Chrysler Jeep and the recent golden three year commitment from Linda Tyson of State Farm further enhances that all angles will be covered to ensure all in attendance will be fully engaged and locked in to have a thrilling ride!
Headlining the live entertainment will be The Legends of Funk featuring Skip Martin’s Dazz Band with the Legendary Barkays and a gospel performance by Fred Hammond and The Family including celebrity appearances of Tom Joyner and many more!
 This year Two New Events have been added! The first of the new events is State Farm’sHealth Fair from 10:00AM to 4:00PM at the African American Museum focusing on health awareness and prevention with FREE health screenings and seminars of medical conditions prevalent in the minority community.
The second event, a definite first, is The Battle of the Bands! Four area bands will individually perform live on stage to musically duel to win the hearts of the judges and be crowned The Best Band in the Metroplex! These talented local bands are Paul Rogers & Natural Change, Eddie G and The G Spot, Casanova and Soul Clef!
